Meet the team that is ready to serve you.

Amy Porter, ARNP

Amy Porter is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who sees children, adolescents and adults aged 6 and up.  She earned her Associates and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI).  She worked in adult, cardiac and trauma intensive care units for 12 years and served as charge nurse and unit preceptor.  She feels her time as an ICU nurse gave her the opportunity to care for patients at their most vulnerable and fostered in her a desire to care for others in an expanded capacity.   She decided to attend the University of Southern Indiana and obtained her Master of Nursing degree with a specialty of mental health.    She has been working to help clients improve their mental health for the past 8 years through medication management, therapy sessions, lifestyle modification and complimentary and alternative techniques.   She has an unwavering desire to help individuals overcome mental health struggles and live their best lives.  She has a great sense of empathy and mercy and likes to act with compassion toward her clients in an effort to improve their lives.
